Detroit/surrounding areas has been so much fun! I don't want to go home. I feel bad for being away on Mother's Day but I love it here. I had a great time this weekend.
I got lost as usual coming here, though. I was trying to get to Royal Oak and wound up driving through fucking Livonia or some god damned thing. The construction and traffic here are insane. I don't know how I'm going to make it out of here alive. lol.
But after I found my way here Jamey and I went to Great Lakes Crossing to Rainforest Cafe. I told them it was her birthday and she got a song and a free ice cream cookie out of it. The mall closed after dinner to we left and came back here. At which point I fell asleep like a dork because I was so tired from getting like 8 hours of sleep in a three day span.
I woke up at around noon yesterday and had some rice crispies. I've never had rice crispies before, so that was interesting and exciting new experience! ha! After "breakfast" I called Doug and made plans to watch a movie with Jamey and some people later that night. Ooo, I bet you want to know how that went, huh? Too bad, keep reading.
After phone calls, Jamey and I went back to the mall since it was closed the night before, and she bought a new skirt and shirt, a book on S/M, and some other stuff I forget. I bought two books and a movie. I bought Secretary because I am now in love with that movie, Best American Erotica 2004 and an Anais Nin book. I'm such a big Henry Miller fan, so I'm extremely excited about the Nin book, but I'm reading the other one first to keep myself in suspense!
We ordered some Chinese food after that and I discovered I love sweet and sour chicken! Another thing I hadn't really tried until this weekend. While eating dinner, Jamey and I watched some Law and Order (AND OMG I LOVE THAT SHOW!) until Doug got lost coming here. I think everyone gets lost coming here. It's a Michigan disease.
So here I am, fucking trying to give someone directions to a house and I don't even know what way is up. Talk about vertigo. But we figured it out.
Doug is the fucking coolest person. We hung out with some of Jamey's idiot friends...well...no...just one idiot friend. Rachel and Beth were cool. I got drunk, which I kind of feel bad about but it was fun, so cool
. Doug has a cool Pistons hat that I've stolen on occassion and he DOES in fact run around in the rain! He also walks through puddles. Good times. Thank goodness for thunderstorms otherwise I never would've found that out about him. He's also really warm, especially when you're cold from running around in the rain! Rock star!
I went to sleep after the rain incident. Now I'm trying to tell my mother how to buy tickets on ticketmaster.com because we're going to be seeing SIMON AND FUCKING GARFUNKEL! I love them.
I'm going to go eat some breakfast and wake the bums up. Then I'm off like a prom dress...back to boring Wisconsin!

My weekend was fine. The Lightning won yesterday so that made things even better.
Back to work tomorrow.
But thats actually okay because I get to see someone I have missed for a couple of days.
Things seem to be going better here but keep your fingers crossed for me.
