I meant that quote more in the the context of those in todays society; how so many people follow people in media, celebrities, social media stars and blindly idolize them. The "false prophets" that tell their followers things, and they in turn think/believe whatever they are told to without using critical thinking. "Golden Calves"

I'm not really sure if the world has been this always or it's just intensified with the age of social media. While social media has it's merits, in some ways it's kind of poisonous as well. My biggest "idols" are probably some of the lovely ladies on here and even that is just in admiration not and obsession/idol sense. I find your ideals and outlooks quite interesting I must say.
