It's funny... you get to a certain age, and realize how similar you really are to your parents.

Case in point:

It occurs to me that if the world worked for me, they would so be fired. There is just something about people who don't care how they handle their affairs that is so bothersome to me. I can't imagine doing the kind of work that people do.

Example:

Archery Summit hires me. They have me come out to do my job (which is PR), and upon my arrival (in Armani and $300 shoes) they inform me that they need me to set up tables, and hose out the fermentation room...

Huh?

I even had to call to find out when they needed me to come out.

Next, I find out that the parent company (Pine Ridge Wines, Napa) asked them to hold out on hiring, which precipitated the decision that I was not to come out on the days I'd been told to come out. I had to call and find THAT out too.

whatever

Fired, all of them!

While truthfully, this is all good for me, as it further crystalizes not only my resolve, but my overall creative vision (if you will), it truly is lame in its own way.

This is why people work for themselves, even at a loss.

Word.

I did get your email. I have been super busy buying a house, so not much time for finishing a new demo.

Id love to check out the shop, however, i do not like wine frown
