Death is beautiful-- there is nothing moreso. It is tragic but uplifting at the same time. In my mind, though, when we die, we are suspended in a black void with nothing but our memories until we are reborn again. That, I feel, would be a lonely place. So much time to sit and think about the faces that we miss. I guess not everyone would feel that way, though... I would probably be a ghost for this reason.

i have never had a close encounter with death in any way to create a fear like that....its just something that makes me sick to think about..i dont know how it came about, but i just realized it one day as i was watching a movie and i realized that i never wanted to die that way...it seems to slow.

Not the act of death itself, but the fact that after you die, you are completely alone in all of that darkness.

no...i just have a fear of dying in the middle of an ocean..just in that kind of sense.

I'm not sure what you're getting at in most of this post, but as for the last thing you ask... I think the only thing you need to ask yourself is what makes YOU whole as a person. Not what makes a "man." And certainly not what others' opinions on what a man is. All that matters is your opinion of yourself and if you are happy with it. If you're not... time to set about asking the questions that will help you be happier with yourself. I don't go about every day wondering what makes a woman a woman. I just know that I am a woman, but what makes me unique is how I choose to be myself. I don't care that there might be a definition of a "proper woman" or a "proper lady." I'm here to make me happy, not everyone else.
