A Day in the Life of an Endtime Revivalist
Yesterday proved to be quite the interesting day.
I reluctantly agreed to let my brother and his girlfriend watch my daughter, and let them keep her overnight. I know that my hesitation is a reflection of my overprotective nature, and I know that I need to get over it, so I relented and everything turned out to not only be fine, but actually go pretty well.
It also gave me the chance to go out and do something that I had tentatively agreed to knowing damn well that I could back out of it because I did not have a sitter.
It was off to a good start as I informed the ever so wonderful Kira that I was hanging out with Oninotaki, my sworn nemesis. She seemed a little concerned and overprotective, not unlike me with my child.
Then I drove to my instructed destination, but was hit with a wall of traffic due to something called MONSTER JAM, apparently the last ever monster truck rally at the silverdome, which I suspect that I also made plans to go to with ladyiris1369 at some point, but was able to get out of on the premise that I am absent minded but mostly pleasant.
So a drive that should have taken twenty minutes took over an hour.
But all was well, because mr. oni gave me good directions and I found the place with no problem, and was delighted to see a large piece of familiar metal: SYH's truck. The only thing more amazing than his truck is my truck, and the only thing more amazing than that is seeing them parked next to each other.
And when I went inside, I was befriended instantly with a greeting that can hardly be outdone: there was a pound of steak waiting for me to eat it. Granted, there was no steak knife, and I had to work to consume, but that made the bloody hell that was amazing food even more amazing as I devoured it.
Eventually we went to a party, and the host was a damn cool guy. I met a handful of people and had a pretty good time. I consumed my share of alcohol and kept myself out of trouble for the most part, and had a hell of a time.
This morning on my drive home, I was greeted by ANTHRAX singing BRING THE NOISE and it made me smile. I heard an assortment of tunes that included songs from danzig, ac/dc, ringo star featuring the beatles, black sabbath, the doors and motorhead. And now I update for your reading pleasure.
