I went to the Emerald City Comic Con today. Man it was cold outside and waiting in line was no fun, especially since the computer broke down to buy tickets. So the ladies behind the warm booth had to get old school tickets and then take our cash. Admission was 8 dollars and I gave the lady a twenty. You could see her working out the math in her head very slowly.
Inside I just went for autographs. But first I went to the Image booth to meet Jade Dodge and Matt Camp who put out Shadows. www.shadowscomic.com which I just read and really dig. Not only that but I can safely say that Jade is the most gorgeous woman working in comics ever. And belive it or not there are quite a lot. Sorry to Sarah Dyer but Jade took her crown.
I managed to get my Planetary and Captain America Hardcovers autographed by John Cassedy. Planetary is a great book to read if you dig Shadows. I also managed to snag Jim Mahfood's signature inside my Ultimate Marvel Team Up Hardcover and he drew me a nice little Spiderman inside too. Awwww. And then also Pia the artist on Y the Last Man Standing (an excellent book too). On the Edge Video was there and I almost caved in and bought Die Another Day and Two Towers on DVD. I didn't though... good willpower on my part.
