I was in New Orleans visiting my family the weekend of the hurricane. This is the only thing I'm going to write about it. We evacuated. Everyone in my family made it out and we're ok.

I'm sitting here in my Jazz Fest t-shirt, completely heartbroken. I spent most of the week in Houston and Austin trying to coordinate things for displaced friends and family. This is the first time I'm taking the time to think about the loss. I loved the city itself and even if they rebuild I'm afraid it won't be the same. I'm pissed about everything I should be pissed about, and sad about everything there is to be sad about.
