I'm finally from behind the 8-ball in my classes. Such a good feeling. I decided today that I will pursue a PhD. Academia is where I fit in best and I can see myself doing research and giving lectures for the next 30 or 40 years.
My friend and ex-girlfriend Rebecca emailed me last night and told me about the Israeli/Palestinian film fest she's putting on at her college in Chicago to increase understanding of the conflict in that region and showcase the work of some talented film makers. I'm so proud of her - both because it is a big accomplishment and a noble endeavor. I love to see people do well. Cheers.
