Moving ahead with my earnest endeavour at blogging...

So I must confress I watched Queer Eye for the Straight Guy tonight, and despite my previous rant on metrosexuals I actually liked it alot. In the age of American Idols, American Idols Teens, American Idiots, etc, I was expecting this show to really suck ass. Much to my suprise it did cool stuff. It showed guys how to not live like slobs, how to cook (something I'm very fond of), and how to dress to fit an occasion. Well done, Bravo (the network.) Maybe there is hope afterall. To make my final position clear, every girl crazy bout a sharped dressed man. When guys (and girls) fall into the trap of worrying about hair products and the gym and different washes of denim more than what *I* consider to be the important things, they will be worthy of my scorn.

I'm not very interested in politics, but reading about stupidity is a hobby of mine, and stupidity and politics are often found in bed together. Today I came across a 10 questions interview with Ann Coulter from the recent issue of Time. I had never heard the name, and probably won't remember it by tomorrow. Ann fancies herself as an arch conservative. She goes so far as to call liberals unpatriotic. I'm not much into politics. I don't need to waste energy justifying to myself why I think she's wrong. The blatant promotional prompts/questions continue and we get down to a little comment on the constitutionality of antisodomy laws. She states that she can't find any protection for *GAY SEX* in the constitution. About now I start to wonder how she got a book a published, Then it sinks in. She's not stupid at all - she's actually very shrewd. People like Ann and Bill O'Reiley are cashing in on the times, taking advantage of the surge of conservative political thought and the liberal/democratic party panic. She's producing crap but deserves to make every dollar she can off people that buy shit books.

On a happy and shortwinded note, I tracked down a lecture by my favorite teacher, Richard Feynman. He says early in his lecture:
"We must make it clear that if a thing is not a science, it is not necessarily bad. For example, love is not a science. So, if something is said not to be a science, it does not mean that there is something wrong with it; it just means that it is not a science."

Word to that.
