Just to illustrate how I can never focus on one thing at a time in my life, I worked on my laser all day today. I a friend of mine is taking a course in welding and fabrication at austin community college and for one of his projects he decided to fabricate a proper laser projector for me so I could get rid of the...

My classes are about to drive me insane. I feel like I'm cramming information into one end of my head just to have more stuff fall out the other side. I have a laser show Dec 12th to do, but I can't prepare for it because school takes priority right now, which will have me going crazy until the 10th. Furthering complicating matters, my long...

Silence
There is a machine outside around us. It is the quantum-verse an ever churning unpredictable machine that encompasses all. There is never a total silence in our world as long as there is heat in the cosmos around us. Every particle disturbs every other particle across multiple dimensions and our particles are no exception. The beating of our hearts echoes the pulses from a...

Perhaps in writing you discovered something inherent in the universe that is too big for human memory, so your thoughts just didn't retain it. Good thing you have your hard drive.
hehe. I'm always a sucker for a rant about the universe....

Another microbiology write up, another thought for the day - or night.
Nature has already developed solutions to some of our greatest problems.
How do those little buggers do the things they do? It's amazing.

Sunday is fish tank cleaning day. I'm pretty happy with my 30 gal and 15 gal tanks. I should post pics sometime - just because they're cold blooded doesn't mean they're not cute. I think I'm ready for a 50+ gal cichlid tank.
So I just want to say that Fischerspooner kicks ass. I saw them/him/whoever the fuck/the stage show here in Austin on Saturday. To me, being cool is able to take the piss out of yourself and make fun of yourself at your own show. Nobody, or at least I hope nobody, believes that Fischerspooner is some super deep or ultra inovative electro/rock hybrid pushing the...

Written for my microbiology class:
A summary of:
Gadsby, P. (2003) The Biology of . . . Sourdough: San Fran's Mighty Microbes.
DISCOVER, Vol. 24 No. 9, online edition.
Microbiologists Frank Sugihara and Leo Kline, while working with bakers yeast (a strain of S. cerevisiae) for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, took on a side project studying the miniature ecosystem unique to sourdough bread in...

So it's been 2 long friggin weeks of stress. I got up this monring, make about 10 calls to the people wokring on getting my site reconnected. I've been doing this for 30 days now since my site went down. Tonight tho, I got that call - the one I've been waiting for. It was like a scene out of Fear and Loathing.

I'm really too fucking stressed to write but maybe it will calm me down. I run my own internet business and we're in the process of changing upstream providers right now. My site doesn't use a small amount of bandwidth (30mbps+ during the day) so this isn't a cheap job. Long story short (not my style) I've been jerked around for two weeks by time...

Sometimes I feel like I'm searching for the feeling I had when I was 16 or 17 when I didn't know what was going on. That feeling of riding in a friends car, listening to some really really good mix tape (and by that I mean a DJ mix tape), the kind of tape that was a copy of a copy of a copy that...

A friend gave me a ticket to Radiohead in Houston. What a fucking pal. I love Radiohead too, just like techno. Radiohead is what they'll start sitcoms off with in the year 2080; they're just that fucking advanced.
I'm getting ready to move into a new place. I remember at one point all my wordly possesions could fit into the back of a pickup truck....

The wild gorilla is just something you have to see to understand. That's all I'm going to say about it. I wil say that I feel a particularly strong connection with my simian relatives, and that's probably why the wild gorilla is my favorite. It's also something I just kind of made up.
