Tonight, I saw Mudvayne in concert. It was wonderful. A lot of people complain about metal music- claiming it as too harsh and noisy...I find some metal music wonderful for more than the sound of it. There is so much energy and emotion in metal music. Grown men literally near tears, screaming and shrieking their hearts away on stage for the world to see. I find that intoxicating to watch someone bare it all in front of the masses. It shows strength in itself.

The show, itself was fantastic and they were very interactive with the crowd.

By the end of the show, with the closing song "Dig", chaos broke out. Half the crowd was in a giant moshpit, the rest rushed the stage while cheering, arms outstreached to the skies. A guy jumped up and took hold of the light rigging above the crowd and swung from it, teetering the entire structure back and forth.
The slamming bodies, the cheering faces and raised arms, the guy swinging from the lights, the security guards rushing around manically trying to keep order, the lights, the fog, the heartfelt screams, music and distortion on stage...it was absolute madness and it was amazing. I find something so intoxicating and beautiful in chaos. It's like watching a car flip off a bridge before slamming into a rocky river below- it's shocking and frightening, but somehow beautiful at the same time. I would almost see it happening in slow motion.

*sighs* I feel like the guy from American Beauty now...finding beauty in everything, but it's true. That's raw emotion right there- in the sweat and tears, blood and spit, screams and cries of every band member on stage and every kid in that crowd...and it was wonderful.

There is always a light at the end of the tunnel Scorpio, and this week that light has arrived. Your Tourette's syndrome will suddenly become much less awkward after you make friends with two people named Ass-Fuckshit and Cockfucker.
