So.
We're back.
My goodness!
Apparently everyone has had really wild weather, but we got 2 feet of snow while we were in Vermont!
Anaxarete and I were speculating as to whether there there would be any snow left on the ground at all.
Would I be able to mow the lawn?
Would we be able to start on all the yard projects we had in mind?
Would it be too muddy?

Well we got there and it looked just like last year around this time.
A lot of patches of melting snow and ice with a lot of mud in between:

Ok, fair enough.
No lawn-mowing this trip!
The one sad thing was that when we looked on the porch one of our local Hairy Woodpeckers dead on a table next to the windows:

She was George the Hairy Woodpecker's wife.
He is boss of all the birds.
He's not the nicest woodpecker.
We assume it was an accidental death, that she flew into the window, but who knows?

Anyway, the next day we woke to find it had started snowing, with a few inches on the ground already:

Ok, fair enough again - it's Vermont, so a little snow and sleet in April is no big deal.
But it kept going all day.
And it changed to all snow.
It tapered off that night after a few inches and the stars came out.
We went to bed.

Apparently it started snowing again because we woke up to this:

So we went out to play.

And it snowed all day.
And the next day.
The snowplow guy never came.
We stayed at home and A baked bread and we had lots of frozen leftovers to eat.
Wave rode his horse:

And took naps with mommy and Stella:

And that's it I guess.
I had the worst birthday of my life.
I won't go into it.
Sorry for being cryptic, but I'll probably be a bit more cryptic from now on.
Oops, that was cryptic too....
See?

Valerie Bertinelli was/is one of my all-time celeb crushes.

And Rachel Ray had this bit of wisdom to impart today:

"What could be better than a grilled meatball?
Putting it on a ceasar salad!!!"

surreal puke

Just Wonderin:

1) Were you aware of the hotness of Valerie Bertinelli?

2) Why can't I think of any of the questions I thought of in the last few days?

3) When (and what) was your last driving (not parking) ticket?

4) How many moving violation tickets have you gotten over the years?

5) Which new SG that went up in the last 5 days would you most want to do?

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
1) Yes, yes I was.
2) Cause I have memory issues. I get these blocks...
3) Last winter I got a speeding ticket in Vermont. 85 in a 65 zone, I believe...
4) Oh geeze - probably 6 or 7? 8? Almost all speeding, except once, in Princeton, NJ, I was looking for the address on a house and drifted over a middle line (wch wasn't painted) and cops saw me and thought I was drunk, which I wasn't, so they gave me a ticket for driving without a liscence. I think I was liscensed but didn't have it on me. I don't remember. I had to go to court.
5) I dunno - I have to go check!
