I don't know how many of you noticed, but I am running for President of the United States this year.
As I said yesterday, I am a Jeffersonian republican who believes in a strict interpretation of the federal constitution.
I am NOT affiliated with ANY political party - especially the GOP.
What this means is that I believe in a relatively weak central (federal) government.
It means that except for certain specifically designated areas, I believe in local self- government with federal oversight.
I believe that the federal government is to handle matters such as national defense, international relations, the safegaurding of individual and civil rights, protection of the weak from the powerful, among other things.
I believe that those who determined the form, laws, and values of this country would be extremly upset if they knew how what they fought and struggled for has been twisted to serve the wealthy.
This country was originally to be fo founded on an agrarian and small- manufactures economy.
It was usurped by the monied and speculative interests, those whose main interest was in generating large amounts of money, not in building a fair and equal system of government and economics.
This means that the stock market, corporations, globilization, and entrenched corrupt political parties have to go.
There WERE no political parties in this country for many years in the beginning.
I will do whatever I can to eradicate these things.
Enough of that!
Everyone seems so unhappy these days.
