I had a great ending to this last week. I am proud to announce I have a new record for miles ran. 8 miles!!! I ran 8 miles yesterday! My boss (who is also my close friend) and I do 5k and 10ks all the time. Last year she did her first half marathon so this year she's working on a full marathon. She has 8 weeks to prepare since the marathon is in May (is my math right? idk haha) and I've been accompanying her on her training runs. We did 4 miles the first 4 days and yesterday the plan had us jump to 8. I was really nervous since the most I've ever run is 6 miles, but yesterday was no problem! Except stiff and sore knees. I always get those. Tomorrow we go back down to 5 miles and then a day of 2x2 for 4 miles where you run regular pace for 2min and then fast 2min on and off until you've completed the 4 miles. Sounds interesting. I plan on keeping up with her until 13 miles at least as it was one of my resolutions this year to do a half marathon. If I can survive past the 13 I'll keep going, but we shall see. I need a proper pair of headphones 'cause the ones I have always fall out and better running gear. My yoga pants and a sweatshirt are not cutting it lol. I also got to celebrate my nieces 5th birthday yesterday!!! She's growing up so fast; makes me sad. There were plenty of babies there to pass around and calm my baby fever so that was a lot of fun. Super Bowl Sunday is this weekend and I've never been so excited. My Niners won, the Ravens won as I had hoped and even my Sharks have been DOMINATING the season already. Who's got bets on the Niners win? I doooo. Two brothers...one game...total awesomeness.
