Propagation -- Reflections of each in the other's eyes, often called "making babies" ~ The Norton Anthology of English Literature, seventh edition, volume one.

Movies seen recently:
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life -- Now I know where that one reference came from in Family Guy. yeah that one.

The 40-yr-old Virgin -- Two great things about this movie:
1) The guy talk/banter. Even if it isn't funny.
2) The random ass non sequitor ending. Three words: Age of Aquarius

Saw -- s'aight.

Million Dollar Baby -- It's frustrating to watch a boxer fight with her right foot forward. but good.

Revelation of the week: Consensually pulling someone's hair in an erotic manner = fucking HOT. I've been wondering about that for awhile and now I know firsthand. Combine that eros and thanatos, baby.

It's fun to spar with friends. You punch them in a kidney but it's okay because they bruise the hell out of your hip and deck you in the face. Everyone has fun and gets a little exercise. Everybody wins!

The summer is now over, I recently moved back into my dorm at Augsburg, and I go back to class tomorrow. And what a summer it's been. A lot has happened and been experienced:
--I've grown. in many ways. what more could be said about that. volumes I suppose.
--I cut my sideburns (not that much) & hair shorter than they've been in a LONG time. don't know how much I like it either.
--I learned how to kick ass and progress in my fighting abilities in a way I never thought would be possible for me.
--Friends and semi-faraway cities were visited.
--Summer classes were taken, credits earned, and minds expanded.
--Books were read and movies were seen and art was experienced (never as many or as much as I had hoped, of course).
--New music previously repellant was listened to.
--Close & dear friendships were begun, grown, sustained, and reconciled.
--Connections were made.
--Concerts were seen.
--Spiritual moments, or the closest thing to spiritual moments, were had.
--Slightly drunken stupors were felt.
--Couches and other people's beds were crashed in.
--Parties were just plain crashed.

In a very unjustifiable shortness, this was what my summer was all about.

Obviously there are some things that could have gone better. Occasionally I did and said some things I'm not proud of and wish I could take back. Occasionally I turned into something I hated. and I accept responsibility for my trespasses and regrettable actions. So this was, by no means, a flawless and completely progressive summer. It could have been better. Things can always be better. I never visited Zarine or went to the wavepool to name a couple mundane, nameable things. Coulda/woulda/shoulda, hindsight is always 20/20, I say let us never be perfect/complete, yadda yadda yadda and all that cliche jazz.

But it sure as hell could've been worse. This was not a shabby summer at all.
And tomorrow I face my first day of class with a jaunt in my step.

You left me a comment containing the word "juxtaposition".He, I know what it means, it just makes me giggle to read it. So how was your first day of classes dear? Oh yeah, and the hair pulling, I could've told ya that wink

comicking:
You summed up your experiences well. I have no want for anything explained.

Hopefully you are coming to the Lithium Picnic at the Razorfist house Saturday.
