WHOA! Is a song by The The actually featured in a Docker's commercial?? The The?! Dockers?! Give it a watch and a listen: Dockers Commercial
Is it about time to write another entry?? Well, I would suppose so. I just don't know where to start and what to consider relevant enough to write about.
Actually take the time to read what's coming, so then you won't think of me as a pervert. Are you interested yet? I went bowling with a girl from karate today, Sarah, strictly as friends if not just co-workers. The catch? She's seventeen years old. All of you sickos out there can sit your asses down, though, because doing anything with a girl younger than nineteen is either sick or doesn't interest me. For Sarah, it's pretty much both. However, I must admit that she does have a rather nice derriere. but yeah. I do not want to go near that. no thank you. I don't even want to get into it.
Apparently she's on a league and bowls at least four times a week, most of the time BY HERSELF. And I love to bowl! So I just said we should go bowling sometime and that's exactly what we did. She's a nice girl who's very quiet and never really says anything unless she's spoken to, and her social skills aren't really fine tuned. Still, we had a good time and I wouldn't hestitate to go bowling with her again.
I just got done seeing Batman Begins and I rather enjoyed it. I'd give it about a B. That movie is two hours and twenty minutes long, but that movie could have been friggin four hours and I wouldn't have cared. I wish there were more time devoted to the villains, though. They didn't seem as developed and I certainly could have used more Scarecrow. And I didn't care for Christian Bale's Batman voice. but I still thought it was pretty good. Anyone griping about how even though it's realistic, but it's still NOT needs to shut up because just about every damn movie ever made isn't realistic. Many of our favorite movies aren't realistic. so there.
What else has been going on? I went back to the Artists' Quarter on Monday and it was a bust. I sat with a couple people I met from the last time I was there. Nearly all of the acts sucked or were offensive. I'm thinking that maybe I should go up there and do some of my own poetry, but I only have two that I have readily available and they take a whole ten seconds to recite. If I'm going to go up there, I want to do something deep. Something that's probably in meter but not necessarily in rhyme. Something that ISN'T funny, chrissakes.
I started my Brit Lit summer class at the U of M. There have only been two classes thus far, but my opinion of the course at this point is . . . . fine. It doesn't look like it's going to be a class that I'm going to miss when it ends. but it's only been two days. we'll see how things go.
Finally, anybody remember these fellas?
I just got their dvd!! Rejoice!! I've been watching it non-stop and I'm enjoying it immensely. That's all for now. go home.
