oof. Not a whole lot has really been goin on around these parts. I'm so full of chicken and mashed potatoes that I could pass out, though.

I recently read Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry and I thought it was good but it's nowhere near as touching as The Giver.

I stopped reading The Unbearable Lightness of Being about halfway through for a couple reasons. 1) For some reason I just found it difficult to read through it. 2) Some things were hitting WAY too close to home and I didn't want to think about some of the hard truths that could be applied to my life. 3) Even though I found the book to be very truthful, I thought the style in which the truths were being revealed was too explicit. Instead of making my own inferences and realizations, the book was basically just telling me a lot of the important stuff. What's the fun of looking for treasure if the treasure chest is sitting right in front of you?? Anyway, I will pick up this book again probably in a few weeks.

I've recently watched Kinsey and Love Me If You Dare. Kinsey was pretty good, but I don't think I'd watch it with my parents. heh. Love Me If You Dare is a French film that was described as being a sadistic Amelie. And I would say that's kinda true, but more near the beginning. I thought the movie was okay, but the more I think about it the more it's beginning to grow on me. I think I just may need to watch it again.

I've decided that I don't want to experience things, such as books and movies, more than a couple times. There is WAY too much out there to be experienced and I don't want to waste my time reading and watching the same stuff over and over again unless it's something in which I REALLY find a lot of value. There's just way too much stuff out there left to experience.

Whitney's graduation party was postponed, which is unfortunate. Perhaps I'll give her a call later today to see if she still wants to hang out or whatever.

Batman Begins comes out in a couple days and I'm excited as all get out! I want to see a midnight showing buuuuuut I have Brit Lit at 9:00 the next day, soooooo I dunno if I should.

I think I still need to find my groove on this site. I find myself completely uninspired whenever I write an entry. usually. I need to find my groove. hrmmmmmmm.

Was there ever a time when you got too much sleep and then you're just sleepy for the rest of the day? your mind and body never fully awakens? That's kinda where I am at the moment. I'm sleepy.
