"Snog" has got to be the most disturbing word for "cuddle" or "snuggle" or "spoon" or whatever. it's just not a pleasing word.
By the by, what's with people spelling "weird" as "wierd"? Are people trying to spell it different because that particular word shouldn't be spelled correctly since a word that means "oddity" should be odd itself? I mean, I know it's "I before E, except after C, unless pronounced like an A, as in 'neighbor' or 'weigh' (unless someone says Jim Nabors is way cool. but how often does that happen)," and "weird" isn't pronunced like A, but I guess I just fail to see the appeal of someone spelling "weird" incorrectly on purpose. Man that was one long, horribly confusing, incoherent sentence. nevermind.
Okay, so the Catholic Church has been having meetings regarding whether they should abolish Limbo (where unbaptized babies go). The reason? Because Catholicism would be more appealing in Africa where the infant mortality rate is high and people are being turned off by the fact that their unbaptized babies are going to Dante's first circle of Hell.
So....the Catholic Church is willing to negate a part of its theological existence in order to pander to the masses like Blockbuster eliminating late fees so they can gain more business...? Or (and I'm stealing this part from The Daily Show) the Church would rather tear down and reconstruct its concept of the afterlife than, y'know, abandon the teaching of abstinence and tell the good people of Africa about things like contraceptives.
This new pope is on a roll.
I successfully completed my first week of student teaching. I have only until April 14th to go! victory! It was actually quite boring. I fought my placement but was only able to get one 8th grade class along with my previous three 6th grade classes and a basic reading class. oh yeah. that 8th grade class also happens to be the worst one in the school. or so I was told. repeatedly. hoo-rah.
Now I kiss whatever small social life I had goodbye. And I probably won't be able to update as often either. I'll be too busy staying up for 20 hrs, grading papers and working on lesson plans.
Oh well.
but tonight: I BOWL!

i was having the same problem w/ creatively writing our fights out. its been a hwile since ive just written for fun and i was ALL OVER the place w/ ideas...it was a bit crazy. in general, i dont smoke. i dont smoke pot, cigarettes or cigars, but every now and then i will smoke a hookah since one of my friends works (bartends) at a hookah bar and if im drunk and someone has them, i will smoke cloves. its weird. i dont know.
it snowed a shitload over here last night. over a foot, largest snow nyc has seen since 1950 something. crazy. i was in jersey for the weekend and i had to help my dad dig out of the driveway so i could get to the train station and come back to school. too much physical activity for me, ive met my quota for the month.
tomorrow night (monday night) im gonna rent and watch Rize with some friends. it ought to be interesting. different dance genres were always interesting to me. hopefully, we will also have hot cocoa...mmmmm followed by a sleepover!!! and we'll do our nails and talk about boys we like and have nearly naked pillow fights...wait...i didnt mean most of that.
anyways, im glad your supervisor observation went well. maybe if its a woman observing you, you could show a lil skin...or does that only work for girls??
