Anyone that knows me at all knows that I owned a certain van that I treasured quite possibly more than anything else in this entire world. When I moved back to Illinois I sold it because it would never make the trip back from AZ.
However, today I received a letter from the Arizona MVD saying that the title is still in my name and the vehicle has been abandoned and is currently at a storage facility. Allegedly, I can make arrangements to keep it. I'm not entirely sure how this is going to work out, but I am calling tomorrow to find out why it was abandoned (IE - will the thing even start?), and what I have to do to get it out of storage. I have a friend in AZ that is willing to pick it up for me and park it at his place until I can make my way there to get it, which would be a few months from now.
I would be so outrageously happy if somehow, it would make the drive from Phoenix up to SF so I could keep her. I missed it so bad. At the least, I hope I can sell it again for parts if it no longer is worth repairing.
