Last night was a celebration. Okay, backstory.
Last wednesday my boyfriend (John) was bringing me a pizza at work because I was starving and covering an extra shift. On the way he got rear-ended. He drives a 1980 ford econoline, basically a giant tank. (My van is still better though
). John was stopping for a yellow light and apparently the guy behind him wasnt. Anyway, the guy that ran into him driving a 2006 corolla. The corolla was demolished. Everyone was fine, which is good.
The good part - the other guys insurance company gave John a 600 dollar check for something we can fix for 100. So we made off like bandits. So, we went out for steak last night. It was so good! Afterwards we had a little party of our own that I will spare details of.
The extra money is going to help towards getting me my chair. I wanted my own chair that is big and comfy to lay on or have enough room to do school work on. I found one at target I like a lot. Im still gonna look around a bit though.
Here's the fun part. This is John's van after the accident. Notice the bumper is just slightly out of wack.
Now, here's the other guys car. Yikes!
The other guy was really cool about it, and all of us ended up becoming friends. Haha.

I mean, God forbid you get a dent. Can you pop the panel off and bang that bastard out? Nope. Time for a new door. Plus you have unibodies, so if you get whacked it fucks up the entire car and half the time insurance companies just total them and send you a check for less than what the car is worth.
That's why I want an old car. A detroit car hot rod: loud and heavy.
