An ode to the earth
I am a child of peace
Ive set my soul free
I run through the grass with my barefoot feet
As the beauty of the light fades away
I dance, I laugh, I play
I am a fluttering fairy daydreaming in a warm field of wild raspberries
There is nothing to bring me down as this earth spins me all around
I spread my wings out wide
My conscience feeling as though Ive never lied
Clear of all sorrows, death, and tears
Afraid to take no risks for Ive conquered all my fucking fears
However I cant help but gaze out upon this world sadly
The one thing I cant possibly ignore
How we managed to treat something so magically enchanting so badly
I cant stand it anymore
Try to remember moments from this existence that is your life
Can you feel what makes you know you are truly alive?
The colors, the smells, the breeze
Dancing naked through the shadows of aged old trees
The simple act of loving without jealousy and shame
Passionately caring about every living thing
This life is a giant aura of dreams
Every moment could be perfectly serene
We need to stop all the violence and greed
Realize whats important and focus on the need
Have you noticed how everyone goes about their day
As if it were supposed to be this way
Everything that happens has happened without much reason
I dont understand the confusion of God or evolution
When you die it wont fucking matter
The dirt you lie under will be polluted with litter
It is sad we are to heartless to even try to do better
I am a woman dealing with my demons relatively well
My body is not resilient to pain, sickness, or hell
All I want is this planet to be grand
To walk amongst others across a great land
This place Im in is far from where it should be
Every decision made creates effects we are unable to see
The lack of simple purity brings tears to my eyes
It makes me want to leap up, get high, and forever fly
To stay up in the smog filled sky till I actually die
Come crashing to the ground and slowly rot away
Littering the universe
No one cares anyway
