Today would have been my mother's birthday. I am exactly half the age she was when she died. As all my relatives are dead - all my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and parents- I am the next generation. To mark my mid-life crisis I did this:







I have to tell you to go to Optic Nerve Arts if you are in Portland. Tracy did my piercing there- not only is she incrediably beautiful and a fantastic piercer- but her husband Nate died suddenly at the beginning of March. Leaving her the business and a 18 month old daughter.
