Happy April fools day lovelies! It's finally spring!! :D
As you may tell from my recent lack of posting things have been pretty busy and crazy but more so in a good way this time :) iv now got a second job that pays a tad bit better and more hours (yay) So between that and trying to balance my finally regular work out schedule.. And of course a bit of shooting fun, it's been a crazy past month x_x but I love it :) and hope to do more of all these things!
Okay now to some homework fun, assigned by the lovely ladies @rambo and @missy. The latest topic is to tell about our first tattoo, so here goes...
My first tattoo was my back piece, my tree. Yes I know it sounds crazy and it was very much so.. Even more so since a year beforehand I had an accident where I was drug by a car across concrete wich resulted in my lower back being completely skinned.. So it was needle to a whole bunch of scar tissue :X needless to say it was extremely painful
It was originally done by my sisters fiancé at the time and I was such a huge baby, it was a 4 hour session for the just the outline.. Mostly because I took a zillion breaks :P and lasted til about 2am. The next day I worked a full day and the heat on my back was so intense it made me sick to the point I actually hid In the fitting room of my work to take my shirt off every hour.
I now strongly advise against making your first tattoo experience a large piece... And covering a bunch of scar tissue -_-
The meaning isn't the tree of life exactly but more like my life, my childhood and how iv grown and carried that time dearly with me. Trees hold a lot of meaning to me and There are actually many reasons and specific experiences as to why a tree was chosen but Honestly that's whole other blog itself
So to continue the story of my first tat, it now my current project of work since iv decided It needs more life as I have grown so much as a person and had more life experiences. It was touched up last year by riversong and is now being added to by my sister
Here's a photo of the progress, keep in mind it's nowhere near being complete and due to so much scarring from before I wimped out before we could finish this previous session which is a partial coverup...
I can't wait for it to be complete!! :D
On to a few other quick things, I got to see an oil painting an artist in town finished of me..
Also I'm super excited to say I have a new set coming out June 2nd!! So keep your eyes peeled for "Human Being" (a kick ass song by The Beta Band group)
I also shot a set with @riversong called "Lend Some Sun" that will be hitting MR July 2nd so watch for it as well
I'm also very excited to be shooting with @writeboy this weekend AND am planning a shoot with your awesome lady @queen_ very soon, I'm so excited to shoot her for SG again she's so awesome to work with.. As always :P
