i've noticed that a lot of people whine and bitch a lot. about generally insignificant things.
take my friend phatboy for instance. good guy, talented artist but christ god almighty, does he whine a lot. i just tried to think of exactly what it is he whines about ... but i honest-to-god don't know. which says plenty.
i think it's our generation, really. we're a bunch of spoiled little brats with no clue what true adversity is. i know people in their 20's that make more than twice the national average. yet; it's not enough. so they sit around and bitch and whine and complain. and i think of my dad; who worked 3 jobs in the late 60's when he got out of the marines just to support my mom and older brother. i've discussed this with my mom and, accordingly, he saw it as something he had to do. no choice, really. no point in complaining. suck it up, do what you have to do to get by and enjoy the rest of the time.
i try to do that. sometimes the stress at work gets to me and i'm a little bitchy, but i rarely bring it up. it's part of the life. yeah, it sucks for me that the CEO at my comp does half the work i do but gets a salary that's 10 times as much. BUT ... i'm doing something about it right now that's gonna move me up. truth be told, i'm pretty damn happy. i've got it better than most people.
i'm 23 days away from being 26; i drive a bmw, i live in a very swank apartment, i have all the little toys i want, i can go out and party and have fun with my friends, i have a couple of very special girls and a new incredibly hot one.
so i don't complain.
