Well, yesterday was fun. I don't get to fly the line that much any more. Seeing the Everglades from above is always cool -- as is looking down on the beaches, with the surf and the hotels and all the tiny people . . .
The weather was mostly awful. It's been quite a while since I had to shoot an ILS down to minimums in a thunderstorm! There was standing water on the runway at Fort Lauderdale Executive and braking action was practically nil.
Sam's sister is coming into town today. She'll be staying with us for the weekend. I think they're going to work on a mosaic. Sam bought a pair of tile nippers (Ha ha! "Tile nippers.") and a book on mosaic-making. All I can do is shrug and say "whatever." The whole arts-and-crafts scene leaves me underwhelmed. I generally seem to prefer to actually do things rather than make things, unless I'm making something that serves some specific useful purpose. Also, my attention span is waaay to short for that kind of project!
