I quit this morning, is official and inmediate.
My friends helped me with the legal side of my quitting letter and I put WHY I was leaving, quoting the law and everything.
And I just went there and left the letter and went home.
My direct boss, did not wanted to tell the CEO about the harrassment issue because acording to him (my boss) "it wasn't [the CEO's] bussiness", can you believe that crap?
In the end the CEO called my home and he asked to not go, that I'm a great professional and he was sad about losing me, and I stand by my choice of leaving, and he apologised a lot about what happened, and said that he was going to do something about it, because he doesn't want his company to be known because of what happened to me, and that it should not happen to anyone.
And that's the story about how I overcame sexual harrassment at my work place.
And NEVER EVER be afraid to speak up, we might think we are alone, but we are totally not. I've been supported by friends and family and my SG community and I thank you all for your words of encouragement and wisdom and rage about the subject, I have faith that we can make the world better when we know whats fair from what's not.
