Old man winter has let Spring bend over and flash a peek of panties before our drunken eyes. I am a lecher, a lurker, filth in the gutter!
With another bout of winter sure to soon set in, I bring to your attention the distant arrival of SKIRT DAY!
SKIRT DAY IS MY FAVORITE DAY OF THE YEAR!
The sheer joy of skirt day is only heightened by the mystery of it's arrival. You will not find it marked on any calendar, nor records of it's dates past. No man can predict and no woman can plan her wardrobe for it's arrival. Unlike the tide, it springs forth like an unexpected meteor shower, an earthquakehurricanetidalwaveflood, in a collective display of merriment and beauty for all participants and on lookers alike.
The skirts shall soon enough come out in unison to shed off the last day of winter layers, they always do. You will find them in city parks enjoying lunch on the lawn, in not yet air-cooled office complexes, on subways, busses, and outside at patio bars enjoying drinks well past happy hour. It is a sight to behold and the true indicator of the warm days ahead. In the cities, there is no other day like it, it is a day to forget the noise, the filth, the smell, and the congestion. I love you girls! I love your skirts both long and short and how all of you walk like moving statues on that blessed day. THERE IS NO DAY LIKE SKIRT DAY!
