Weekend and I get to half feel like I can relish it. Who likes relish on their dogs? Kraut? Anyhow I can only half enjoy it because these two days are not hemmed in by the Monday morning blues. I worked this week, but am back to government funded compensation next week. No job. Is this what Dad imagined when he sent me off to school?

Weekend and I get to play weekend warrior. Suiting up like some big bellied fortysomething dreaming of cracking skulls and breaking tackles in the Superbowl. Yes it's Superbowl weekend and I'm sure I'll be rooting for the losers, I usually do. I enjoy, but don't really care about football, so inevitably I pick the underdog and go home disappointed and saying next year I'm going to get back in to it. But I was not talking about the Superbowl... I get to relive those high school days and play today. Find me a team sport and I want to play. I am so excited. I consumed large quantities of water last night and got up early this morning and will be reminded of aging tomorrow watching guys younger than me kill each other while I sit sore assed on the couch. Spring football will lead straight to... ooh I can't say it, softball season. This year I will try to find a hardball team to play on. Nine players only. Who else likes sports here? I must go. I've got to tidy up, stretch and jog to the field...

It's beautiful here. Sunny. Dry. Projected high of 49F this afternoon. Enjoy the day. I have nothing illuminating just that.

Only note of sadness: still no hockey.
Forget hockey: almost spring training.
