I can't believe I've been in LA for a year now. It's gone by so fast. I definately miss Austin and New Orleans and working freelance and having so much freedom, but I don't miss being broke and unable to pay my bills. I wonder how much longer I'll stay at my job here before I go back into the freelance world.
Things are better with the girl. She seems to be moving back into reality
and hopefully will stop demanding a wedding ring before she would consider moving to the same town as I'm in. I'd like her to spend the winter down here and if all goes well we'll get a place together or she'll get a place close to mine.

i hate how money makes the world go 'round.
and that was my problem with the protest. it may have been fun, but it didn't do any good at all! i can understand if it has an objective and a way to achieve it, but this was totally unfocused. these kids (both young and old, physically,) might as well have gone to a fair or a carnival or a concert.
