I think my last entry was a little too long because only one person commented on it. I'll keep this one shorter.

I like to go to the gym with my new iPod and play the Katamari Damacy soundtrack. I climb on the elliptical machine and close my eyes and pretend that I push a big ball and rolling up everyone in the gym... surreal

Seriously, if you haven't played Katamari Damacy (for PS2) please go check it out! It's the most original game I've played in a long time. tongue

In other news... I'm not going to hang out with Melissa anymore. I'm serious this time. I actually didn't call her back when she called on Sunday. I'm proud of myself for that one. Here's the story...

Last Friday, I was reading movie reviews and I saw a great review for "Million Dollar Baby". Normally, its the not the kind of movie that I'd go see, but every review I saw of it said it was the probably best movie of the year and that I should go see it right away. I didn't want to go see it alone though, so I casually asked Melissa if she wanted to join me. Now, Melissa and I have gone to the movie a couple of times together in the past few months, but its always been her that asks me. In fact she is almost always the one who calls and asks me out. I figure if its just a movie, it would be ok. Its no fun going to the movies alone, especially one that is supposed to be a little bit upsetting like "Million Dollar Baby" (I'd tell you more about it, but I don't want to give it away!)
By strange coincidence it seems that my roommate Sara and her friend are going to the same movie, at the same theater, at the same time. Well, its not that weird, considering it seems to be showing only in one theater. So I guess I could have just gone with her. Oh well.

So I meet Melissa at the theater (I drove, she took the T) and I'm in the process of trying to introduce her to Sara when she is like, "I gotta wait outside for my friend." Apparently she invited her friend Kate along, which is ok, but she never told me. And it wasn't a last minute thing because Kate had already reserved a ticket. I had never even met Kate before, and introductions were quick as we rushed to get a seat in the theater. Melissa stopped in the bathroom while Kate and I found seats. I sat near the middle of the row and Kate sat off to the side leaving a space between us (presumably for Melissa). But when Melissa sat down, she sat on the other side of Kate leaving me by myself with two empty seats on either side. Of course I shifted over one, but now I was sitting next to Kate, who I don't know at all. Melissa basically talked to Kate throughout the movie and ignored me - not like she could talk to me sitting way over there (and not like we talk during movies anyways
wink ) I know this seems really junior high school-ish, but I thought it was a bit rude. And afterwards, I had to drive them both home. And Kate lives way in South Boston, Melissa in Brookline (I live in Somerville). In the car, she was a litte more friendly. She said, "My New Year's resolution is to hang out with more people that don't want to sleep with me." "That's funny," I said, "My resolution is to hang out with more people that want to sleep with me." I told her she should start hanging out with more women. In retrosepct, I should have told her I didn't want to sleep with her. Even though she probably wants me to want her. whatever
