I'm back in NY for Thanksgiving. I'm not happy being here, I've been so incredibly bored and I spend most of the day sleeping. Maybe now that my brother and sister are home, things won't be so lame,.
So, I called the girl that I wrote about in my last entry. Her phone went straight to voicemail as if it was turned off, so I left a message. I left my number and asked her to call me, although I also mentioned that I would call again later. That was Monday afternoon. I called again a couple of hours later on Monday night and again her phone went straight to voicemail. I didn't leave a message that time.
I tried calling again yesterday and that time it rang and rang for a while and then went to voicemail. I didn't leave a message that time either.
It's now Wednesday, a little over 2 days since my first call and she hasn't called back. The people in the "Dating Sucks!" group tell me that I'm being too pushy and creepy and that I shouldn't call her again unless she calls me. I really can't stand those people, I don't know why I continue to post there at all.
I've decided to wait until the weekend, either Friday or Saturday and give her another call then. I've only left one message and since phones don't register missed calls when off she doesn't know that I called three times. At most she'll figure out I called twice. I have doubts about whether she'll call back the way things are now. She didn't take my number last Saturday so I got the impression that she wanted to put the burden of calling on me.
Even if she doesn't want to see me again, what do I have to lose? She gave me her number and told me she'd like to hang out again so if she sees me as pushy or creepy, that's her problem.

The last girl/moron I was with, I waited three, maybe even four days before I called her, and what was her eventual reaction to my patience/procrastination?
"I almost thought you weren't going to call me, and that you didn't like me!"
We then proceeded to make out.
Just to play it safe, don't call her again. Not in a few days. Not in a week. Not ever. If she doesn't call back, she was either put off by the quantity and/or rather immediate placement of your calls, or she wasn't worth it to begin with. In fact, if you see her at Toast again, don't go out of your way to talk to her. You've more than put the ball in her court, now it's up to her to make an effort if she's interested.
