First of all I'd like to point out, this is going to be quite poorly written. I'm tired and still pretty excited.
What a day! Other than an hour or so that I'll get to in a minute, everything has gone well today. As it was my first day off work for 2 weeks, I decided to treat myself ... had a lie in first of course, then up to Merry Hill to spend 93 in HMV. Got back home to enjoy my purchases and discovered a message from work letting me know my hours have been doubled, so lots more money to come! After playing on a couple of the games I'd bought, headed out with a friend to KFC for a pre-gig feast.
After eating, into Birmingham, a pint of the finest local cider from The Victoria (which is easily my favourite pub in the world) then to the new o2 Academy, which, by the way, is terrible. Its more like a cinema than a gig venue ... they have tiered seating on the balcony ... which is just WRONG! People were sitting down not moving for the whole night. Wrong wrong wrong. Far too smart, far too corporate, it's lost it's "almost falling down" appeal. Oh, and they have carpets.
Back to the good stuff ... the reason I was at the Academy was to see the mighty BIFFY CLYRO!

On top of it being the best I've ever seen them, it was probably the best gig ever! Very violent crowd though ... I feel like I've been in a fight ... being punched in the stomach is a strange experience.
Struggled back to the car minus my tshirt, and back home now very very stiff.
Anyway ... backdating a little, went to see the painfully funny Jim Jeffries again last week ...
All adds up to a happy happy Adzilla
