Can't believe it's nearly Christmas.

I'm not terribly excited, truth be told. I haven't even gotten a tree or decorations up, so I'm planning on doing that today since I have a day off.

I have to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day as well. I'm gonna work extra on Christmas Eve, and go in early on Christmas day, so I can leave early and enjoy the rest of the day. The joy of working at a ski resort I suppose.

I realized today that I haven't bought anything for myself since I started my new job. Even though I'm making more money than ever, I am living more frugally than ever and dumping money into paying off all of my debt (except my student loans. Fuck Sallie Mae-- I'll pay the bare minimum the rest of my life to them, ha). I was out doing my Christmas shopping and saw some really cute Domokun stuff. Was so hard to not buy anything but yeah, that's what made me realize I haven't gotten anything for myself yet. I'm thinking after the new year I may set some money aside to get a few things I've been wanting all year but have resisted getting so that I could instead do the adult thing.

Speaking of money, I hate my bank. Right now my checking account is frozen, and it's because I was using my debit card a lot. For the last two days I have been unable to use my debit card or get money out of an ATM, even though I have a positive balance. So tomorrow, on top of my decorating, I get to go to the bank and screech at them. Someone suggested to me to use a check instead, but they never sent me any checks. Bastards.

In other news.

The weather has been so shitty lately.. tons of snow, sleet and ice. I don't have a snow shovel either so trying to clear my walk and half of the driveway is a real pain in the ass. I still prefer the nasty winter weather to the nasty summer weather. I'll always be more of a snow bunny than a beach bum I guess, though I love the ocean. I just don't love frolicking in the extreme heat in all of my pasty white glory, haha.
