Thanks Dad for passing on your interest in sci-fi, comic books, reading in general and giving me all those books and art supplies and space and time to enjoy them on my own, Alice Cooper, my awesome nose and brains, and my complete lack of consideration for society in general's approval. Thanks for your endless encouragement and support. Thanks for never "babying" me and for treating me like an equal when I was small. Thank you for your respect for me. Thanks for all the times you had to rush me to the hospital and sit with me through tests and appointments and all the middle of the night drives to calm me down when I couldn't sleep. Thanks for also imparting in me a certain sense of adventure and a love for animals and compassion and patience.
