Damn, sis, those things can and do hurt. Please remember that you don't need anyone but your own bad self. I know you know this, but don't be hard on yourself when some other voice in you gets you to feeling like you need some connection with other people or another person. We don't NEED these things strictly feeling, the feeling of need almost always breeds attachments and expectations. It seems like when we view it as a need, we always end up doing ourselves some kind of damage, even if we only see it years later.

But it's still fun. Even the phone sex, unless it's a deal where our unspoken expectation is frustrated, and where on top of it, we realize that once again we've allowed someone to use us or be shitty. Users are the ones who really suffer from the using, though. Just think of how abyssmal your own heart would have to be in order to go around using people like that.

You must have had a good time; it's a royal pain in the ass, replacing documents, undoing the snafus caused by bank card cancellation / anti-fraud controls, etc. Good not to look back and count your blessings as you seem to be. I've heard Vancouver's one of the groovier ones, even though I've never been north of Seattle on that beautiful West Coast, varied and soothing as it is.
