Well we survived the hurricane, and trust me, I never want to go though that again. It was scary as all hell. We had no electric, water or phone. We moved out for 9 days until we got our power restored, and I just got my phone line back about 20 minutes ago. I hope anybody else in the area of the hurricane made out...

i'm glad that you are okay... i have never been through any sort of natural disaster. one year (1996 i think) there was this ICE STORM.. it was kind of scarry because the ice was making trees break and land on people's houses. i'm certain it wasn't anything like a hurricane tho.

We are all packed and ready to go. We are watching the news and trying to figure out when and if we should leave our house for the shelter. The storm is getting nearer.

Waiting to see if we need to leave our house for the hurricane or not. Its not expected to come through my area until tomorrow night. Guess I need to figure out what to pack just in case.

we " hubby and i" are going upnorth to higgings lake near where i grow up..he is a hunters safety teacher so he gets to go to this weekend thing up there. so i get to just camp and do my own thing for the weekend. the only bad thing is he will be eating all his meals there so its just me for lunch and dinner, but again thats nice to since then i don't really have to cook either.
