went to a magazine launch last night. it was funny being my boy's handbag - it is usually the other way around. met quite a few wankers - amazing how you can talk to someone for an hour about their job and new ventures and they don't even ask you what you do for a living! anyway it was nice helping him network and always fun to be somewhere with nice free cocktails, not to mention the sample bag which was unreal! free haircuts, beauty products, new good food guide, cds and a board game.

afterwards we went and saw supersize me. my boy was groaning and grabbing his stomach the whole way through - i was sitting their gloating about my vegetarian status. it is rare that i feel superior being vegetarian. usually when we go out to dinner i have the pleasure of choosing between tomato based pasta or mushroom risotto AGAIN while he salivates over the many amazing options he can choose from! i know, i know it is my own choice - i wish i liked meat but i just don't.

i am so flatout with work that i was going to take my laptop away with me so i could do a few hours each day but when i rang the lodge we are staying in they informed me there are no phones in the rooms and no internet access!! she said that the resort is about relaxation not work.....i guess that is a good thing. guess i will just have to make do with the massage and spa.
