Regarding toenail chewing - I don't bend that way.

Regarding the oscars - I saw the beautiful and talented Hilary Swank (and her back - yowza!) thank everyone and their brother (but not me!?!?!) for her award, Prince drone, and Gwyneth Paltrow wearing yet another light-colored gown. You're pale as paper, Gwyneth! Wear some dark colors!

Not like I was into it or anything.

I used to have a TV, but I found it more of an annoyance than anything else, so I sold it. I don't miss it (except that I'd like to watch the occasional video, but my computer has a DVD reader, so that's more or less covered). I hear from other people that there's some good stuff available on TV, but I never seemed to find it. It is funny sometimes to see how hard it is for some folks to understand how I can get by without one. "But... oh, I get it... you just download all the shows from the Internet, right?" Uh... no. wink

As far as cars are concerned, it really depends where you live. I'm lucky enough to be in a place where public transit is pretty good, and just about everywhere in town is within easy cycling distance. Also, there's not much traffic (compared to big cities), so it's relatively safe. The biggest hazard is senior citizens at the wheel (of which we have a great many)... you never know what they're going to do (and often neither do they...). But I know in other cities people are not so lucky. I visited friends in Silicon Valley a few years ago... now there's a bicycle-unfriendly place!

About photos: You're right, I'm a nature type, and I certainly think that nature photography is my "thing". However, I don't want to get stuck in a rut, even within nature photography. I think if I can break out of that habit for a while, figure out ways to take good photos of buildings and people and plates of lasagna and so on, then when I go back to trees and rocks and flowers, I'll have expanded what I'm capable of seeing and capturing, even just in the nature shots. That's the theory, anyway.

Oh, and about nude females... yes, I'd very much like to try my hand at nude photography... especially nudes in the outdoors, so I can indulge my nature photo self as well! But I can't afford to hire a model, and I don't know any women who I would be comfortable asking. Alas. (Well, actually, I know a couple, but none in this city.) If you're ever up this way... wink

That hug is all ready... kiss
