Still reading The Masked Rider by Neil Peart, a book about cycling in West Africa. It makes me want to buy a bike though I actually haven't even biked since I was in middle school. The book is interesting - a fun read but I can't manage to read more than a few pages at a time - my mind wanders off and I have to get up and idly waste more time on the puter.

What a long and slothful Sunday afternoon. No work today and tomorrow, hooray...so I am at home while the boy is at work. The summer heat is really sinking in. Fans turned up high don't do much to relieve anyone, not even willy and spook (my two baby shih-tzus. willy is seven and spook will turn three this halloween). They just lounge around lazily, looking up at me occasionally hoping for me to give them some reprieve from this infernal thermostatic nightmare.

I have constant migraines, mind-numbing and directly behind the eyes. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my worsening vision. I just don't like to wear my glasses so much. I think it still has to do with my childhood trauma of the other kids' taunts - "four eyes, four eyes...tehahaheawhaw" ...

My mom has constant migraines... she just got on a new medication that is helping her with it, maybe I'll ask her what it is... I guess it's either fairly new or experimental. I dunno.
