It is my contention that people do not like to be told what they "need".
I'm sure they think they are being helpful, and sometimes that may be the case. The other day a "friend" told me that I needed a haircut. I like my hair the way it is But that's not all. The "You need a haircut" has been stuck in my craw ever since. I can't stop thinking about it. Don't tell me what the fuck I "need"!
Maybe I'm over-reacting.
After all she is a hair stylist.
