So things are getting a little better.
I have found a part time job. It's retail again- seriously I have realized that I must have some sick, subconcious fixation with working at the mall- because I have not missed a Christmas season there- but for one- since I was fifteen- that's like ten years of dealing with stressed out, child, latte and shopping bag juggling...

I think it's pretty common for your new job to feel like a step backward after getting laid off. I went from working in an office to working in a print shop.
The novel Nicholson's Ghost by John Gardner was based on the house of my friend Adam, which was supposed to be haunted. There were lot's of stories from people who said they'd heard the ghost.

I am down for UE Always. I was up north at my friends cottage, they have a range. check out the video I posted on facebook so see the kick from the .338 we shot.

Call me a sellout- I ended up signing the exit agreement with my company. I did however go in and have a meeting with my bosses to discuss their reasoning behind why I was let go- a meeting that left me with few answers.
When I brought up that I had no prior warning of the problem I was let go for; was not talked...

Don't get too worked up about it. I've been unemployed twice over the years. And, yes, it is tough. But if you just keep plugging away, doorstepping potential employers, and generally making yourself known, things work out.
AND, don't waste the time sitting at home fretting. If you've done all your cv updating, and jobseeking for the week, get out and have some fun! I spent the best part of a year walking, climbing and mountain biking in 1991!!

I know this isn't the sort of thing you probably want to hear, but I lost my job seven years ago and I've never been the same since. It turns you around in all sorts of ways that you don't like to admit to. I'm still here, and the world didn't end, but I've never been the same. Try to make sure that if you're not the same afterwards that the change is for the better.

What a kick in the teeth. And, if they had any problems with your performance they should be raising that in performance reviews on an ongoing basis, and managing the situation. Sounds like they are just a bunch of pricks trying to justify the unjustifiable. I'd like to know what evidence they cited of your 'unsuitability' - not much I bet. Pity you don't live in Britain - you could have a field day with that in an employment tribunal.
Well, I wish you all the best. I've been there and it's not nice, but just get out there, doorstep potential employers, spread the cv about, and something will come your way.
Good luck

Wow, that is a kick in the ass. I'm sorry that you had that happen. HUGS!!!
As much as the situation sucks, you are in a better position than most and I hope that you find something to your liking soon.

It was really awesome to see everyone again this year at Gala! I feel like I can never stay long enough! A huge thank you goes out to radiofrank and AandP who organized everything, and did another amazing job.

It was wonderful to see you again. I'd like to see you again, hopefully sooner than another two years.
So... today was probably the most one of the most interesting work days of my life.
We're working hard, deadline approaching and I finish most of my stuff and say to myself think I'll go home and grab some lunch"
Not so much.
I got home, put my food in the microwave and then- bam, most horrible pain I have ever felt in my life....

Somehow, I feel like everything is going to be okay.
We went out for coffee today and talked about everything that we hadn't been able to for the past week since it's been so emotionally charged.
What everything comes down to is that we'd been together for a long time, and just gradually have grown apart, until we couldn't ignore the differences anymore in the...

Call me whenever you want hun. I'll message you my number and we can reconnect if you need someone to talk to. HUGS!
Six years and it's over.
I don't know what to feel right now, except broken hearted. Just getting through an hour without crying my eyes out is an achievement, and I'm counting the hours I slept as 6 hours of not crying. Waking hours aren't doing so good.

Oh no.
I'm really sorry to hear that. I really am.
If you ever want to talk, online or over the phone, please just say so. I promise I'll even keep my flirting to a minimum. I just hate the idea of you being sad.
Hugs!!

I'm sorry, sweetie. I'm sending you love and hugs!
So, I have been on a crazy emotional roller coaster for the past few days, all related to work.
My job at the newspaper is going well. I'm steadily getting more detail oriented (re: anal retentive) but it hasn't totally paid off yet. We all send our papers through one more proofing process before the final print is made. We usually get our paper back,...

As Northern said, hope you have a great vacation. Sounds like you deserve a break!

There seem to be alot of those kinds of people out there. They all want everything their way and all for nothing. Sigh.
I hope everything works out for you.
Enjoy your vacation!!

Thanks for the love/promotion of my new set
