Well probably anyone who read last blog entry is wondering what's going on now. Not a hell of a lot. My sister went to the doctor, pregnany is confirmed. She has got not just morning sickness- but all-day-every-day sickness...to me it's kind of funny (now I am so going to be smited).
The issue now before us is that she has got it in her head that she wants to quit her job at Tim Hortons because she's "too sick to work".
WTF?!
My mom worked two jobs- one waitressing and one as a cashier in a grocery store when she was pregnant with my littlest sister Melanie- and had me and my sister Wendy (the pregnant one) at home- ages 4 and 7. My Dad had lost his job so she was the sole income provider. Now my sister is pulling this?
Now luckily my little sister's boss- happens to be our cousin by marriage. She actually said to my mom on the phone "Are you going to just let her quit?" That got my mom- and now my mom has said to Wendy that if she doesn't work- she is kicked out and can expect no help. I know it sounds really harsh and mean- but my sister is kind of lazy. She got it into her head that she was going to quit- had her two weeks noticed prepared and everything- and then- my mom sat her down and told her what would happen if she did. Needless to say- my sister is sucking it up and working anyway.
Now on a happier note...
How amazing is it that one day up at the lake can make me feel like I had an entire weekend off?
