So now it is post Gala update time!
First of all, special thank you to Lucy for organizing everything, pretty much solo! I didn't get to talk to her until the end of the night for me, but she was very, very nice.
Of course we can't forget Speedphreak or Cereal_killer for their work organizing the guestlist and putting down a deposit for the venue. Speedphreak is super nice in person too.
Now the super fun part of the night was meeting some of the people I run into on the boards all the time.
Lycoris and her husband(?) are so sweet, down to earth and nice. It was a pleasure to actually meet this girl in person, unfortunately, we didn't get to talk until the band was playing, so we were more screaming conversation at one another in hopes that the other person would hear.
BrightRedScream and her fiance were lovely to meet and speak with for some of the evening.
Northern12 braved his shyness to come to the event. This is admirable, as I know what it is like to go into a social situation that you are not entirely comfortable with. But he is a very nice guy, very intelligent and kind
omega668. Wow, I was so happy to get to meet this girl in person. I felt like she had just got there when she had to leave again. Boo!
Cottser was a very sweet guy, and super nice. It's just too bad he lives all the way in London!
Kore was so damn cute! Oh my gosh, so short! I want to pick this girl up and carry her around in my backpack.
Elana likes to stick her face in my boobies. I guess that's okay, but only because she was nice and outgoing and funny! That and she was wearing kiss-proof lipstick so it didn't come off on my boobs.
Martini was so gorgeous in person, and her hair was awesome!
I also got to reunite with Tekky, Lisseth, Sass and Oryx briefly, who I had met before.
SO I have come to one conclusion. Tiriel and I have got to get out to Kareokee one night so that we can see a lot of these fantabulous people again.
