Viva la new hair!




I'll post some better pictures when I take them. I have bangs now! I haven't had bangs since I grew mine out in 7th grade. Actually, there was the 9th grade unfortunate attempt at a punk-rock spikey short style where I drew what I wanted on a piece of paper and the lady at the salon gave me a fucking BOWL cut... I've had some bad experiences with my hair, specifically with the bangs.

But now I have those pseudo-bangs that are just supposed to be pushed to the side and hang slightly in your face for that deliberately disheveled look, and I spent 5 hours at the salon getting conditioning treatments and corrective color to repair the damage I did with that awful dye stripper (damn you, hair group! I guess that's what i get for listening to the advice of a bunch of random people on the internet with no qualifications whatsoever). Seriously it took five fucking hours just to get my hair actually black again. But it looks fucking awsome now, so it was worth it.

I am a little sad that my hair is shorter now. It's still long, but... it was REALLY fucking long before:



It probably won't ever be that long again. It was always getting in the way and it was too long to style or do anything with. But I still kind of miss it.


So this is lame of me, I know, but I'm excited that it's Valentine's Day.

It's also me and Adam's two-year anniversary, though, so I can celebrate without feeling like a stupid girl or a consumer whore or whatever.

We're going out to a really nice restaurant. I bought a dress that cost... alot... more than our dinner probably will (which is something I never do-- I usually only buy cheap crap.) I'm really looking forward to it... I'm going to be all stupid and useless and all day at work.
