So... there's a huge new crop of lovely Limbogirls today (including former member and fellow Baltimore girl Mercie!)... I won't give them all away, but if you're looking I counted 19 of them (and at least 6 were members already.)

Also- the new DJD set is absolutely stunning. I now have a favorite set!

Decided not to go to the ex's birthday party. You guys are right-- it's just stupid drama waiting to happen, and I don't owe him anything. Plus Adam vetoed it. Made my decision a whole lot easier (because I'm sure as hell not going BY MY SELF!)

Speaking of Adam-- he bought a membership to another alt porn site (*gasp!*) out of curiosity-- the one that's been around since before SG and advertises that they have hardcore content... and GODDAMN THEY SUCK SO BAD. The girls are cute and stuff, so nothing personal against them (I realize there's some overlap with us)... but the site is designed so badly it's nearly impossible to use. Which is too bad because I remember it used to have a very cool-looking 70's look to it that made it very unique... but they recently redesigned it and it's just CRAP. The layout and graphics make it look like any random regular porn site-- no style or originality at all. The navigation makes no sense at all and it's impossible to find things. When you are signed in and trying to look at the pictures there's this huge obnoxious blinking Flash ad-- for the site-- right next to the thumbnails. Hello!! I already HAVE a fucking membership!! Why are you showing me an ad for the site that I'm already on??

And the community there is... well, nonexistant. I didn't even realize the girls had journals and profiles and stuff, because depending on how you get to the sets (fucking confusing navigation) you don't even see them. Once I realized they were there I went through looking at them-- and 80% of the girls I looked at didn't have profiles filled out, and even the ones who did didn't have active journals. I guess having a personality is optional over there-- but if I were on that site I probably wouldn't bother, either, since it doesn't look like the members pay any attention to them. No one comments on sets, and I went and checkedc out their message boards... *sound of crickets chirping*... down at the bottom they have one of those things that tell you how many users are online... guess how many there were? 1... just me. And the "hardcore content", which would've been the redeeming thing about the site (because think of all the awful crap you normally put up with to see hardcore stuff-- horribly designed garish sites, offensive copy, tons of pop-up ads, etc)... wasn't very redeeming. There were 4 boy-girl photosets and 20 assorted movies. That's it. VERY disapointing.

Not that I expected it to be SG caliber, but you figure a site that's been around for so long and is so well known would at least have it's own particular charms. But no. Maybe before SG was around, just the novelty of naked punk rock girls was enough... but with SG as the new standard, those guys are seriously lacking. No wonder they hate SG so much! I'm sure they've lost a TON of members to us.

Alright, enough rambling about crap I probably shouldn't even be talking about here.

I have a mother-fucking JOB INTERVIEW on Tuesday! For this non-profit community organizing/activism place that's fighting a campaign to require all companies in MD who recieve fedral funds to pay their employees a living wage ($10.50 an hour minimum). This is an issue I feel very strongly about, living in an area where poverty is so widespread. I have a college degree and *I* can't seem to find a job that will pay my bills. Personally I'm in favor of a national living wage law, but that's a bigger issue. This job involves grassroots organizing, lots of talking to people and rallying support and stuff-- which normally I would hate (I'm shy and uncomfortable around people). But I'm super-excited about it. I really hope my interview goes well.

Has anyone else had experience with a job like this? I know I see ads in the Citypaper for similar organizations (fighting for clean water, fighting for housing, etc) all the time.

Wow-- if i get a job I'm going to be so damn happy! eeek

PS. I submitted a shirt design that I kind of like to Threadless-- go vote for me please--and COMMENT! (or tell me how much it sucks!)

hope the interview goes well! would you be doing some canvassing and such? I used to work with a public interest group that works on similar issues. I went door-to-door in a very wealthy area of San Diego....98% bastards I tell ya.
