Last Saturday night was really cool. Had a gig with Pirate Radio at this garage party in S.F it was broadcasted world wide and also a club in London put it on one of their rooms. I fudged a couple of mixes as there was no eq on the mixer. Did what I had to do. I have to say getting an older crowd to groove to techno at 10pm is a challenge. Rocked it for two hours then I had to pass out. I hadn't slept much the night before.
I have been riding bikes longer then I have been dj'in. I don't ride cause its cool I ride because I love it. I'm not a hipster. I don't own a chrome bag cause everyone does. I wear cheap clothes cause I'm poor. If it wasn't for road biking I probably would be a much more fucked person. There are things that bug me but I'm still hopeful that this isn't a fade for some like Buddhism is for most. If there are more riders on the road the more respect we get. I have been hit, run over, broken and attacked by so many cars/drivers in the past 13 years its unreal. I wear my stories like badges just as boy scouts wear their merit badges. I find it insulting when you question my intentions or ask if I'm a hipster. Yeah I have the H.I.P virus but I have had it my whole life. H is for highly, I is for insecure, P is for person and I'm sorry you just got infected last year.
