MOOD: IT'S THE WEEKEND! YAY!
LISTENING TO: LA Guns
Not much new to add from the last entry really - had a rehearsal with the band last night which went well - hopefully soon we'll be out terrorising people (though it'll be our last rehearsal for a few weeks unfortunately as our bassist's gf's off into hospital for an operation and then our drummer's going away on holiday). We're working on a set with five originals and three covers (LA Guns' "Rip 'n' Tear", the Quireboys' "Mayfair" and Dogs D'Amour's "Victims Of Success" seem to be the three most likely candidates atm) and all seems rosy in the Jonestown Minders' camp at the moment (well, that's our provisional name, it may change).
Tonight - off for a few quiet drinks with a mate. The rest of the weekend - who knows? I'm just gonna enjoy the time off.
Enjoy yerselves you lot,
Yorkie
PS - I do believe we now have a new leader in the "most implausible cover version ever" stakes - Micky (our guitarist) has just lent me his "Best Of WASP" album which includes a...erm, unique shall we say, re-interpretation of Elton John's "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting". God bless them lads.
