Shit...

...just when you think the corner's been turned, there's inevitably a lorry waiting to flatten you.

Have found out today that I am going to be unemployed at the start of next month for the first time in nearly three years. Basically the company I joined in March (no names mentioned but its ads are fronted by an extremely annoying twat called Howard) have decided that they in fact over-recruited and basically gave me the option to move to a department no-one in their right mind would want to go to or piss off. I chose the latter option as I refuse to let anyone tell me they know what's best for me in terms of jobs but it now leaves me with no income and massive debts. Life is not good.

...ah well, on the bright side, Wasted on Thursday. I think a chance to forget about the week so far is what I need...

PS To any SG'ers who've been looking forward to seeing me at a meet in the near future, this unfortunately means I probably won't be there as I suspect all money will have to be conserved unless a job offer magically appears in the next week or so. Life does indeed suck.
