...hehe, so apologies for the slightly random journal entry last night. I'd been out drinking with my sort-of-gf and was, as you might've guessed, a bit pissed.
...and it would appear that in all my inebriation I missed out the REAL good news of the week so far (yup, even better than having two dates in as many nights!) - OUR GIG WENT WELL! We needed 15 people in to break even on the night and got no less than 47! So not only were we able to cover our costs we were also able to pay the bands their petrol money and still have a fair whack left over ourselves.
So a quick plug while I'm on here - if anyone's in Leeds on May 6th, come on down to The Fenton to see the next gig we're putting on featuring SG'er neonkick's rather blimmin' ace band Pornovurt plus support from up-and-coming local heroes the Retrose and Project 506. It's gonna be good.
Anyway, no update tomorrow night as I shall be entertaining punk girl by taking her to a ska punk evening at the Fenton featuring the Splitters, Catch-It Kebabs and Captain Hotknives but rest assured I'll be back here Sunday to tell you all about my no doubt kerrrazy weekend.
Also, coming in the next entry - how I stopped worrying (ie being an indie kid) and learned to love metal and punk. Betcha can't wait now eh?
