This is gonna have to be a quick update as I'm off out in about 15 minutes to meet my sort-of-gf. Wish me luck everybody and I'll update the thing properly either when I get back tonight or first thing tomorrow morning.
Anyway, last night was a fantastic gig - the Dead Pets absolutely fuckin' ruled - why the hell this undeniably fantastic band aren't stars yet is beyond me. Not trendy enough some might say. I say bollocks - with tunes as good as they've got who gives a fuck about "trendyness"? I mean seriously, what would you rather have - some shite like the Killers (and while we're on the subject am I seriously the only one to have realised that all their "tunes", if you can call them that, sound EXACTLY THE FUCKING SAME
) or "WMC" by the Pets? Let's face it folks, there is no contest. Viva la punk. 
Support bands deserve a mention as well - there was a group of new lads called Guns on the Roof who have to be one of the best new punk bands I've seen on the Leeds circuit for a while - pure white hot anger with killer riffs in the GBH/Abrasive Wheels style and a psychobilly group from Liverpool called Zombina and the Skeletones who were awesome - one of the best live acts I've seen for a long time. Check them out if they play near you.
Anyway, the clock nears 7:15 and a night out with my lady awaits so here I must leave you. Laters.
